At the turn of August and September we successfully implemented an educational project Dance and Mental Health in Schools and Beyond. Together with the British dance company Company Chameleon, other lecturers and in cooperation with Švanda Theatre, we explored innovative approaches to well-being and mental well-being of children through dance and movement.
Over ten days, dancers Alice Bonazzi, JP Hon, Kadafi Mulula, Thomasin Gülgeç and the company’s artistic director Anthony Missen, led a movement suburban camp for children ending with a performance for parents, a practical workshop for teachers and a two-day sharing session between professional dancers. In addition, they also performed an amazing site-specific UMBRA production.
Thank you to our partners for the days of joy, creativity and inspiration and to the National Recovery Plan for their support.
